Legacy work

Legacy work gets lost in the chaos. We work together to create meaningful ways to preserve memories, stories and wisdom for future generations.

Recorded interviews in your own home. Photographs finally labeled. Letters written to the people who will need them. Legacy reels your grandchildren can still watch in forty years. And when the time comes, obituary writing that actually sounds like the person it's about.

02

Bedside vigil

Dedicated presence during a dying individual's final hours or days of life.

I work with families to provide education on the dying process and the changes their loved one is experiencing, and to be an emotional anchor during this sacred time. Most of the fear in a room comes from not knowing what is happening. I will tell you what is happening.

03

Respite care

I step in to provide non-medical comfort care and companionship to your loved one, so that family members and caregivers can take a much-needed break.

Rest, work, or handle personal tasks. The goals are simple: alleviate stress for the family, provide continuity of care, and allow a few moments of grace for those around the dying loved one.

04

Navigating difficult conversations

Emotional and practical support for families navigating the complexities of caring for a dying loved one.

With a strong background in Human Resources, I'm able to help navigate the difficult conversations when needed, with a heart-forward approach. These are the talks families circle for months and never quite land. I help you land them.

05

Document review & end-of-life planning

While I do not provide legal or financial advice, I work with individuals and families to ensure things are organized, clearly stated and easily accessible.

We break overwhelming paperwork down into manageable steps. Advance directives, personal wishes, celebrations of life. My free Peace-of-Mind Checklist is the place to start.

06

Bereavement support

After a loved one has passed, I can be available for emotional and practical support.

This is not clinical therapy. It's more a steady companion to help families process early grief, honor the loved one, and navigate the overwhelming logistical tasks of the immediate aftermath. Some families appreciate assistance with clearing out household items, coordinating meals, or simply someone to lean on while making final arrangements.

Do death doulas provide medical care?

No. Death doulas do not provide medical care, administer medications, diagnose conditions, or replace healthcare professionals.

How is this different from hospice?

Hospice provides medical care and pain management. I offer non-medical support: emotional comfort, spiritual guidance, family support, and help creating meaningful experiences during the dying process. We complement each other.
